Enzat(R) is an easy-to-use insert nut that can be used on materials such as resin and wood where direct tapping can easily cause female thread damage. It has a slotted cutting edge and cuts the mating material with its own blade, so no front tapping is required. Since the force applied to the internal thread is supported by the larger external thread, Ensat(R) can withstand higher forces than a straight tap. The limit of reinforcement using Enzat(R) is the inherent shear strength of the mating material or the mechanical strength of the bolts used.
