These convenient scissors can be switched between "scissor mode" and "opening mode." You can easily switch modes by simply sliding the handle. In "opening mode," a blade of approximately 5 mm is exposed by sliding the handle, and can be used to open cardboard boxes and other containers while keeping the scissors closed.
